1951-63 Parkhurst Hockey Cards Master Class with Jeremy Lee
On episode 51 of the Hockey Cards Gongshow podcast, we were thrilled to be joined by Jeremy Lee (@jl_sportscardslive) for the second of our Hockey Cards Master Class series; The 1951-63 Parkhurst Hockey Cards Run.
Jeremy starts with the 1951 Parkhurst hockey cards set, which is the first year that the Canadian confectionery company produced hockey cards. This year's set included cards for all six original NHL teams; the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Candiens, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings. The 1951 Parkhurst hockey set includes legendary rookie cards for Gordie Howe (Mr. Hockey), Maurice (Rocket) Richard, and Terry Sawchuk.

Jeremy proceeds to go year-by-year through the Parkhurst hockey cards run, detailing some of his favorite cards like the 1952 Parkhurst Tim Horton rookie that features a beautifully painted card with Tim in a crouching, almost attack position and onto 1953 Parkhurst hockey that features the legendary Jean Beliveau rookie card of the Montreal Canadiens.

These are just a few of the amazing vintage hockey cards chronicled by Jeremy Lee in his 60 minute Master Class of the entire 1951-63 Parkhurst Hockey Card Run. This is a podcast episode that you do not want to miss if you have a love for the hockey card hobby and want to learn more about its vintage roots.
